"One system, all weapons."
Join us on the first Saturday of the month for a 3-hour training experience that goes beyond “empty-hand self-defense.” In ALIVE! Core Skills, you’ll learn how to safely and responsibly use knives, pistols, and your own body as tools of self-defense in real-world situations.
What To Expect:
- Beginner-Friendly, Adaptive Pacing
No prior training required. Each session adjusts to the group so newcomers can learn safely, while experienced students get deeper application and resistance training.
- Practical, Weapon-Integrated Training
We don’t just show you how to block attacks — we teach you how to apply knives, pistols, and empty-hand tactics as part of one integrated self-defense system.
- Rotating Topics
Every month follows a spiral learning plan built around the seven most common personal defense scenarios (e.g. being approached by a stranger, fighting from the ground, close-range firearm encounters). The exact focus adapts based on the group that day.
Who It’s For:
- People seeking practical skills that go beyond basic “punch and kick” classes
- Martial artists ready to integrate weapons into their training
- Preparedness-minded individuals (outdoor enthusiasts, firearm owners, travelers, parents)
- Anyone wanting realistic, scenario-based self-defense training
What You'll Need:
- Comfortable clothing with a belt
- We provide all knives, training pistols, and safety gear.
- But you are welcome to bring your own!
Each month we will broaden your combative skill set in the knife, pistol, and empty hands disciplines.
